The Folsom Street Fair is the world’s biggest celebration of fetish, kink, and leather. 250,000 people from around the world come to San Francisco for BDSM demos, live music, and the latest kink equipment and toys. It may be the world’s biggest sex-positive party.
And it opens its arms to all adults. You can come dressed to express your inner sexual being. Dress as a leather angel, a latex nun, a rubber puppy, wear your usual jeans and T-shirt, or wear nothing at all! (Though we do recommend that, at a minimum, you wear shoes and sunblock.)
But Folsom Street Fair isn’t just a hot, kinky fetish party. The event has raised millions of dollars for LGBT organizations throughout San Francisco.
In some ways this adults-only leather event is like a street fair anywhere, but with a twist.
There are vendors… but instead of stuffed animals, coffee cups and beach blankets, Folsom Street Fair vendors sell corsets, floggers and lube.
There are people in animal costumes…but they’re not sports mascots. People in animal costumes at Folsom are looking for other people interested in puppy play, horse play, and other types of animal play.
There are food booths…okay, yeah, this is pretty much the same. But it’s so much easier to wipe ketchup off rubber and latex shirts than a cotton T-shirt.
Even if you think you’ve seen it all, the visuals and outfits at Folsom Street Fair will blow your mind. You’ll see hot men wearing nothing but a harness, a jockstrap and a cheeky grin, sexy women in leather and latex, nonbinary people rocking a completely agender look. And then there’s the people dressed as horses, foxes, dogs, angels, devils, and many other outfits that hit nearly every kink. Everywhere you turn, there’s an Instagram-worthy shot just waiting to be taken.
But remember – ask permission before you take a photo at Folsom Street Fair! This is a leather festival that strongly believes in consent. We only took photos of people that gave their enthusiastic consent. There’s many more fabulous fetish looks that we saw but can’t share. It’s a good reason for you to make your own trip to San Francisco!
